Give MORE Ideas

Here are some creative ideas to give more this Christmas.

  • NorthPointe Sponsored
  1. Boys and Girls Club - we are giving gifts to children in our area through the Boys and Girls Club. Pick up a tag on Sunday morning or email for a tag.
  2. Kenya Partnership - Bring in supplies for the medical clinic to Kenya in January. The team that is going will be providing a free medical clinic and they need supplies to take with them. See the list by clicking here.
  • Ideas for you and your family
  1. 12 days of Christmas - This is fun both for the giver and the family receiving. 12 days before Christmas anonymously give 1 small gift to a family. Use the song, “12 Days of Christmas” to come up with creative gifts. Then each day until Christmas morning give another gift, but remember they can’t find out who is giving the gift. I.E For a plumber - On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me a toilet brush and cleaner for a fresh flush. The best part is the family will begin to watch to see who is giving these gifts, so giving them secretly becomes tough!
  2. Free Babysitting - Every couple enjoys a night away from the kids, but it can be expensive to go out and hire a babysitter. Lighten the load this Christmas and babysit for free to bless the family.
  3. Invite to Dinner - Do you have a neighbor you always said you would have over for dinner? Have you recently met someone that you wanted to have over for dinner? Is there someone that you have been needing to forgive or maybe they need to forgive you? Have them over for dinner! Invite someone you usually don’t have over, bless a family through food and relationship this Christmas!
  4. Serve Somewhere - There are multiple organizations that you can connect with this Christmas. Go serve somewhere!
  5. Pay for someone - As you go grab that coffee, sandwich, or groceries anonymously pay for someone else. It’s great to have your kids pick someone out by asking them, “God tells us to bless other people, who should we bless today?” Then simply tell the person that you would like to bless them, so you can teach your children how to give. Maybe they would pay it forward to someone else!
  • Ideas for a group
  1. Visit a Nursing Home - Organize a group and go visit a nursing home. You could take games, read books, or even Christmas carol. It’s always nice for them to see a smiling face reminding them that they are loved.
  2. Visit a Prison - Organize a group to go to a prison. Be sure to call the prison and ask their regulations and what “they need.” Organize your group accordingly.
  3. Serve Somewhere - It can be a powerful example for a group of people to serve somewhere unexpected. Ask local ministries, organizations, or just go out and do random acts of kindness in our community.
